You are invited to join us for our annual pheasant hunting and ranching excursion, that dates back almost 15 years. This four-day event will be marked by upland bird hunting – a total blast for novices and experts alike – and other ranching activities, including sporting clay practice rounds and tournaments, on America’s finest hunting property. We will enjoy 5-star dining, amazing wines selected by our resident Sommelier (Andy!) and Cuban cigars.
Located on the edge of the Black Hills and Thunder Basin National Grassland, SweetGrass Ranch offers an unrivaled outdoor expanse. Three sides of SweetGrass border the U.S. Forest Service’s National Grasslands, providing unexplored terrain teeming with wildlife. The ranch boasts diverse land types, including wet bottom ground, open parks, and timbered hillsides. Private two-tracks from there lead to various parts of the ranch. Surrounding the compound are pine ridges and dense forests in almost all directions.
The activity time is designed to give you a break from zoom calls and conference rooms. The conversations during our meal windows will offer up inspiring ideas and provocative predictions in a setting meant to foster collaboration amongst global players. We are confident that you will build meaningful new relationships that will enhance your life.

Brian’s Ranching Bonanza, hosted by Sway Ventures, is an annual outdoor retreat bringing together a select group of key players in our network. This is an intimate gathering designed to foster connection and lively conversations.
The four-day retreat will feature a number of fireside chats and outdoor activities, with a focus on giving plenty of time to connect with other attendees.

Your registration confirmation ensures that your lodging at SweetGrass Ranch, a “five star” recreational paradise located on the edge of the Black Hills approximately 35 miles northeast of Gillette. SweetGrass Ranch totals 5,574± acres representing a truly private end-of-the-road ranch.

Sway Ventures will provide group transportation to and from SweetGrass Ranch and Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport (GCC); Tuesday 10/8 – Friday 10/11 based on shared flight information. The GCC airport is approximately a 1-hour and 15-minute drive to the ranch. For those of you arranging your own flights, please make sure to share your flight details if you’d like to be included in our group ground transportation.

HUNTING ATTIRE
Comfortable waterproof hunting or hiking boots are required, Upland hunt format is walking 5 to 7 miles per day through heavy brush and fields
Waterproof or rain resistant hunting jacket or vest with shell pockets, or large shell pouch
Fall resort casual attire for lodge happy hours and dinners.
Protective eyewear such as hunting glasses or sunglasses with plastic or unbreakable lenses
Blaze orange vest or hat or other article of clothing so that you can be easily seen in the wooded areas by other hunters
Insulated gloves or shooting gloves
Sunscreen is highly recommended
If you do not currently own these items, any outdoor outfitter such as Cabela’s or Orvis will have many options to choose from. There is also a pro shop onsite with limited inventory.
Please join us for this epic adventure. All you need to do is pack a bag and arrive for the flight, and we will handle everything else from there.
