Steve Ehikian was previously CFO and COO of RelateIQ (sold to Salesforce in ’14) and currently VP of Product at SalesforceIQ. Steve believes teams all united by a common respect and shared desire to be a part of something that is bigger than any individual effort. It was this thinking that was the common bond at RelateIQ, that united such a disparate group of individuals that included a world-class cross-country runner, an acclaimed DJ, an award-winning origami instructor, poets, a pastry and dessert chef, a beer-brewer, artists, musicians, race-car drivers, and even an Orange Bowl champion.
James “Cuddy” McGillicuddy was an early employee of RelateIQ and now COO of Sourcegraph. Cuddy was recruited into RelateIQ by none other than Steve. Nowadays you’ll hear things like “always be recruiting” from him and the importance of winning as a team. Both he and Steve played college football (Steve Yale, Cuddy Stanford) so team dynamic is something engrained in their psyche.
Quinn Slack was previously a forward deployed engineer with Palantir and now CEO and co-founder of Sourcegraph. He built Sourcegraph to give developers everywhere, at any company, superpowers. In fact Sourcegraph itself is a team-focused tool, bringing developer teams closer together.
Carl Eschenbach was previously the President and COO of VMWare and now a Partner with Sequoia Capital. Having grown VMware from 200 to 20,000 people, Carl knows how important recruiting is. He believes the earliest hires establish a culture that will have to stand the test of time as the company matures.
